Civil Construction & Infrastructure Delivery

Project Overview:

FCC designed and constructed the Police Regional Logistic Center in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on behalf of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Executed as Prime Contractor on a design-build contract, this was the second Regional Logistic Center successfully delivered by FCC, building directly on the experience and expertise gained from the first RLC project in Gardez. The Kandahar RLC provided a fully operational, self-sufficient logistic compound designed to support the full breadth of regional police operations in southern Afghanistan, reinforcing FCC's position as a trusted and proven Prime Contractor for complex, large-scale security infrastructure.

Scope & Key Components

  • Headquarters and Administrative Facility for command and management operations
  • Small Arms Maintenance Shop and Communication Center
  • Ammunition Supply Point (ASP) and Warehouse for storage and logistics support
  • Vehicle Maintenance facility to support regional fleet operations
  • Water sanitation systems and Power Plant for compound-wide utility supply
  • Roads, parking areas, sidewalks, and site electrical distribution infrastructure

As with the Gardez RLC, the Kandahar project delivered a fully integrated and self-sufficient operational compound. Every facility was designed and constructed to serve a specific and essential function within the center, with the compound layout carefully planned to ensure efficient, secure, and practical operations across all areas of the site.
