High-Accuracy Reality Capture Modeling

Project Overview:

FCC received 3D laser scan data for Dukhan Boys School and developed a detailed as-built BIM model covering the complete interior of the facility. The scope extended beyond standard architectural elements to include millwork, MEP systems, electrical fixtures, and a full range of fire and life safety systems, delivering a comprehensive and operationally useful as-built record to support the school's facility management and ongoing operations.

  • Complete interior modeling across all classrooms, corridors, circulation spaces, and ancillary rooms throughout the facility
  • Ceiling geometry fully modeled including soffits, bulkheads, recesses, and all overhead architectural features
  • Millwork modeled in full detail across all relevant spaces including built-in joinery
  • Full MEP systems modeled including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing elements throughout the building
  • Electrical fixtures documented throughout including all light switches and socket outlets across the facility
  • Fire standpipe systems modeled including vertical risers, cabinets, and hose reel stations located near stairwells and elevator cores
  • Fire extinguisher and suppression equipment positions captured and modeled throughout the building
  • Sprinkler heads modeled across all ceiling areas reflecting true installed positions throughout the facility

  • Fire and life safety systems, including standpipes, hose reels, sprinklers, and suppression equipment, modeled in their true installed positions
  • Electrical fixtures including switches and sockets documented room by room across the full facility

Including MEP systems, fire safety equipment, and electrical fixtures alongside architectural elements makes the model highly valuable for facility management. Every component is shown in its true as-built position, providing operations teams with a single, accurate reference for the entire building.
